Dr. Adam Harris is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and subspecializes in inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Harris is actively affiliated with the American College of Gastroenterology and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. He has been awarded Top Doctor Phoenix Magazine numerous times, from 2022 to 2024. His professional experience includes working as the Assistant Professor of Medicine at his alma mater, Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University from 2011 to 2015 and practicing at Digestive Health Specialists from 2015 to present. Dr. Harris emphasizes the importance of listening to his patients to understand their concerns and best explain the possible diagnosis and treatment options. One of the most satisfying aspects of working in the gastrointestinal community, in Dr. Harris’s opinion, is the opportunity to establish lasting relationships with patients. Dr. Harris started his medical education journey obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Biological Basis of Behavior/Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania. After that, he attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York for his medical degree. After graduation, Dr. Harris completed his medical residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Harris completed his medical fellowship at Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. Outside of his role as a gastroenterologist, Dr. Harris enjoys spending time with his family and rooting for his Boston sports teams.
