Laurie Peterson was born in Ohio, but moved to the Valley of the Sun when she was two years old. She grew up in Scottsdale and attended Arizona State University for her bachelor’s degree in zoology. She then worked as a physical therapy technician unti beginning Physician Assistant School at A.T. Still University. She graduated with her master’s degree in 2000 and moved to Austin, Texas. There, she worked in family practice for three years until her husband’s employment took them to Freiburg, Germany. After spending two years traveling and learning German, she returned to live in Arizona. She began working at Mesa Gastrointestinal Associates in 2005.
Laurie enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, and spending time with her family. She is married and has two fabulous children who light up her life.
